Transaction Comparisons

Sifting through and comparing high volumes of transactions can be a daunting and error prone process if done by hand. It is not uncommon that transactions from data files backed up at different times need to be compared. Using application development software, we can develop delta (add, delete, modify) reporting that operates on data files from multiple backup sets. This type of electronic comparison is carried out by processing records in chronological order, which gives the true sequence that records were created.

Chronological order and Delta reporting can provide conclusive evidence of such things as the entry of back dated invoices, deletion and and re-entry of transactions and modifications to transactions.
